How did this tool do?

Turning an SVG into a PNG

An SVG is a set of drawing instructions, not pixels, which is why it stays sharp at any size. Many apps, documents and social platforms can't use SVG, though, and need a regular image instead.

Choose the width you need, from 512 up to 4096 pixels. The SVG is drawn fresh at that size, so edges stay crisp, and the height follows the graphic's own proportions.

PNG keeps transparency, so a logo on a transparent background stays transparent. Pick a larger width than you think you need: you can always scale a PNG down, but scaling it up blurs it.

Where you'll meet it

  • Logos for documents and slides

Word, PowerPoint and many email tools handle PNG better than SVG.

  • Social media images

    Platforms don't accept SVG uploads.

  • App icons and assets

Export a vector design at the exact pixel size required.

Converting formats, answered

What size will the PNG be?

The width you choose, from 512 to 4096 pixels. The height is set by the SVG's proportions.

Is the transparent background kept?

Yes. Areas the SVG leaves empty stay transparent in the PNG.

Why does my PNG look blurry?

It was probably exported too small and then enlarged. Convert again at a larger width.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, so the files never leave your device and it keeps working with your connection off.
