Questions, answered
What size is a passport photo?
Most applications ask for 35 × 45 mm. At 300 DPI that's 413 × 531 pixels, which is what the passport preset produces. Check your country's rules, as some use 2 × 2 inches instead.
Will resizing stretch my photo?
Not with the aspect-ratio lock on. If you set both width and height to a different shape, choose Crop to fill (trims the edges), Fit inside (keeps the whole photo) or Stretch.
Can I resize several photos at once?
Yes. Longest side is the best choice for a mixed batch: portrait and landscape photos both get the right size, then download together as a ZIP.
Can I make an image larger?
Yes, but enlarging can't add detail that isn't there, so the result will look softer. Longest side skips enlarging unless you turn it on.
Does resizing keep transparency?
Yes. With the Auto format, PNG and WebP files keep their format and their transparent areas. Only JPG output fills transparency with white.
