What size is a YouTube thumbnail?
1280 × 720 px (16:9), under 2 MB. JPG keeps it small; the result here usually lands well under the limit.
Why is my YouTube banner cut off?
The banner is 2560 × 1440, but only the centre 1546 × 423 shows on every device. Keep your name and text inside that middle strip.
