WebP at 512 × 512 is what WhatsApp and Telegram use for stickers, and it keeps the background transparent.
How did this tool do?
Turning a photo into a WhatsApp sticker
A sticker is a cut-out with a border. The page removes the background with the same on-device AI as the background remover, trims the empty space around the subject, centres it on a 512 × 512 transparent square with a small margin, and draws a solid outline around it by stamping its silhouette in a ring. White is the classic sticker look; any colour works.
WhatsApp and Telegram stickers are 512 × 512 WebP files, which is what you get by default. PNG is there too if an app wants it. In WhatsApp on the web or desktop you can add an image as a sticker from the sticker tab; on phones, sticker-pack apps import WebP files like these, usually in packs of three or more.
People are cut out best by the default model. Pets, toys and objects work better with Anything, which needs a browser with WebGPU. The cut-out is cached, so changing the outline width or colour after a run redraws the sticker in a moment.

How do I add the sticker to WhatsApp?
WhatsApp on the web and desktop lets you upload an image as a sticker from the sticker tab. On phones, sticker apps import WebP files like these into packs of three or more.
Why 512 × 512 WebP?
That's the size and format WhatsApp and Telegram stickers use. The subject is centred with a small margin so the outline isn't cut off.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so your images never leave your device.
