Remove location from photos
Share photos, not places.
Delete the GPS coordinates hidden in your photos before you share them, and keep everything else.
JPG, PNG and WebP are cleaned without re-saving the image. HEIC and AVIF can't be edited in place, so they're re-saved and lose all metadata.

Questions, answered
Do my photos contain my location?
Photos from phones usually do, unless location is turned off for the camera. Files with coordinates are flagged as soon as you add them.
What else is kept?
Everything except the location: date, camera, settings and orientation stay. To remove all of it, use the EXIF remover.
Don't social networks remove it anyway?
Many do, but messaging apps, email, cloud links and file transfers often keep it. Removing it yourself is the only way to be sure.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so your images never leave your device — not even for a moment.
