How did this tool do?

Captions, memes and labels on a photo

The meme style is white text with a thick black outline in Impact, the typeface memes have used for years, so it reads on any photo, light or dark. Where Impact isn't installed, as on most Android phones, a heavy fallback font is used. Clean style drops the outline for a soft shadow, and Label puts the words on a dark rounded bar, which suits captions and titles.

Text size is set as a share of the image width, so the same setting looks the same on a small screenshot and a large camera photo. Long lines wrap to fit, and a single word wider than the image shrinks the whole block rather than running off the edge. Press Enter in either box for a line break where you want one.

There's no watermark and no account. The image you download is your photo with your words on it, saved as JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. To stamp your name across a whole batch of photos as protection, the watermark tool is the better fit.

Text on images, answered

Is there a watermark?

No. The image you download is just your photo and your words.

My text is too long for the image — what happens?

Lines wrap to fit the width, and a single very long word shrinks the whole block so nothing runs off the edge. Lower Text size for a quieter caption.

Which font is the meme style?

Impact, the classic meme typeface, where your device has it, with a heavy fallback where it doesn't. White text with a black outline reads on any photo.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your images never leave your device.
