Every feed crops images to its own shape. Post a wide screenshot as an Instagram post and it's cropped to a square; post it as a story and it's a thin strip in the middle of a tall screen. This tool builds a canvas at a fixed ratio, 16:9, 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 or 4:3, and centres your image on it. The platform then has nothing to crop, and the whole screenshot stays visible.

Use it when the place you're posting decides the shape. The screenshot beautifier adds even padding and a fuller window frame, so its result keeps the shape of your screenshot. Here, 16:9 suits slides, X and YouTube, 1:1 square Instagram or LinkedIn posts, and 4:5 Instagram portrait posts. 9:16 is for stories and Reels, and 4:3 for documents and older presentation templates.

The Image size slider sets how much of the canvas the screenshot fills along its tighter side, from 50 to 100%. A wide screenshot on a tall 9:16 canvas fills the width and leaves plenty of background above and below, so keep the size high there, or crop to the part that matters first. Blur fills the space with a softened copy of the image, so the colours match. A gradient or solid colour looks cleaner behind an app or website.

The canvas is sized from your screenshot rather than shrunk to a fixed pixel count, so text stays sharp and the platform scales it down on upload. The optional frame is a plain window title bar, and rounded corners and shadow can be added too. PNG keeps small text crisp; for a photo on a blurred backdrop, WebP or JPG make a much smaller file. The ratio is added to each file name, such as -16x9.
